Ben Logan had his first footings into dance when he was 12, he attended his local dance school where he began training in street dance. With just a few classes taken, his teachers and parents already started to see his potential.
Ben began Ballroom and Latin classes, where him and his partner trained and competed for 5 years. But it was the age of 14 where Ben discovered contemporary dance, and decided to pursue this as a career. After attaining his GCSE’s, and training at Chichester College, Ben was honoured to be offered a place to study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he later graduated with his BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance.
Through Ben’s career he has participated in various projects with a wide range of artists, including performing for Lea Anderson’s ‘Flick!’, and a recreation of her work ‘Smithereens’ for various performances and filming for BBC4 documentary ‘Strictly Modern Dance’. He has participated in research and development periods with Alison Curtis-Jones, and has also worked with artists such as Thomas-Michael Voss and Ben Glover.
Some more unusual employment projects include being a Zombie scare actor for Apocalypse Events, freelance singing for various companies, acting in films and movement directing, and Ben is also trained in fire eating, fire breather, and body burning/fire manipulation, which has been subject to many projects and performances.
